Have an Issue for a Meeting?

The faculty learns about issues that will be discussed at meetings by reading about them in the monthly IFO packet. Faculty have requested that the following information appear in the packet:
  • a summary statement of the issue/problem/policy change, the proposed action (usually in the form of a motion), the rationale for the proposed action, and any contextual issues of concern (e.g., how this affects other policies and procedures, how this impacts groups of students, staff, faculty, etc.); and
  • electronic copies of all relevant documents (e.g., university policies, procedures, MnSCU policies, procedures, etc.). In cases where an existing policy or procedure is being revised, faculty will require a copy of the document that shows exactly how the current version is being changed.
  • The packets are typically assembled beginning at 2 p.m. on the Thursday of the week before college meetings. Please submit all materials to the Faculty Association President in a timely fashion.
