Bookstore (Administration has reported that the number of faculty serving on the Bookstore Advisory Committee is no longer part of the bookstore contract. This means that the problem experienced in prior years (i.e., having more on the bookstore committee than could serve on the Bookstore Advisory Committee) has been solved. This committee typically has been staffed with 4 interested faculty from various colleges.)

Center for Community Based Learning Working Group: A new structure was accepted by Council in the Spring of 2003. The new structure called for one faculty rep per academic unit and provided for reassigned time. Deans are expected to fairly award faculty serving on this committee reassigned time. Since work loads are set for the year, renumeration in the form of overload pay may be the best option. Two credits for the academic year should be given.

Institutional Strategy Task Force (Ad Hoc - Suggested Membership – Four of Five faculty with cross-college representations. In January of 2004, the IFO Council passed a motion to form a task force to gain awareness of institutions of higher education and programs operating or planning to operate in the Twin Cities, find out information about these institutions and programs, and brainstorm and formulate proposals for IFO review on how our institution could effectively respond.

Each of the state universities has a faculty representative on the IFO Salary Equity Committee, the more senior of which sit on the Salary Review Committee (the others are alternates). Committee Charge: Review IFO faculty salaries and recommend adjustments.

Committee Charge: To meet the needs f the partner MnSCU teacher preparation programs in providing student teaching and clinical experience opportunities in urban classroom environments and meet the increasing need of the St. Paul School District for more teachers better prepared to serve the urban learners. )
